Outcomes
The new version of the app has won the CES 2020 Innovation Awards, and surely it is very welcomed by the players of aboutGOLF, with high ratings of 4.9 in Apple App Store and 4.5 in Google Play Store.
01 UNDERSTAND
After learning about the existing mobile experience of aboutGOLF, I created a thorough information architecture noted with all my questions and ideas, to have more efficient communications with other partners in this project. Before that, I took time to learn about the golfing game with an experienced player.

IMG01 - A thorough information architecture helped me quickly understand the scope of the mobile experience. In addition, it highly increased the collaboration efficiency among the teams of this project. (Created by the tool: Xmind)
02 CONCEPTUALISE
Based on the customers needs, the support of back-end data for this version, and business goals from the client, I started to build basic user flows and wireframes to guide us through the whole mobile experience, to embrace more knowledge, ideas and experience from all the people in this project.

IMG02 - I used user flow to help us walk through the experience from customers' perspective, and share thoughts of each team member into an online board because the teams located in different places. (Created by the tool: miro)
Same with the user flows, I built all the wireframes in a public space for sharing all the knowledge, thoughts and questions inside the whole team. The wireframes helped us move forward to the final solutions, although they were quite basic and rough.

IMG03 - I created these basic and rough wireframes to help me explore better solutions, and help other team members to see directly and understand quickly the specific solutions. We did leave thoughts on the board as the user flows, which made a great teamwork and collaboration.
03 DESIGN
Based on the final wireframes we made, I quickly finished the core pages and interactions of the aG Locker App, and made a simple user testing with all the teams. This golfing companion app can help players in these three aspects:
First, it tracks all the performance data of every shot by each club in the bag for helping improve the player's golfing skills.

Second, it helps players find their golfing community, to post and share personal bests and achievements, take part in exclusive competitions and challenge friends for more fun.

Third, it allows users easily find the nearby simulator, and set it as favorite center for a future visit.

04 SUMMARIZE
I'm so proud of the results by our hard working, and it won us the CES 2020 innovation award from the market and high ratings from end users. In this case, I learned how to efficiently collaborate with a global team, and as a core member to guide team move forward, by introducing smart design tools and producing staged UX results.
